Navigation has partnered with a leading interactive agency and managed service provider, with a huge presence within the digital media space, in search for an experienced PHP Web Developer to join their development team.

You will work independently as part of a team, with your key responsibilities and accountabilities being as follows:-

• Support Technical Leads in planning and estimating applications builds
• Setting up Build / CI environments
• Application design and development

The successful candidate will be highly technical and hands-on with 4+ year PHP development experience.  In addition to your PHP development skills, you will have gained a least 3 years experience in HTML, CSS and Javascript.  You will have excellent communication skills with experience covering the full development lifecycle.

In addition you will possess a good knowledge and experience of some or all of the following:-

• PHP MVC design
• The use of the Zend Framework
• Working with meta-data feeds / services (such as Rest, Soap, JSON/XML/RDF)
• Linux, Apache, MySQL
• TDD and Unit tests (PHPUnit)
• Working in SCRUM / Agile environments

It would be highly advantageous to have experience in any of the following:-

• Java development
• Flash / Flex development
• Automated testing frameworks and BDD (Selenium / Fitness)
• Development of video delivery applications
