Due to expansion our client is now recruiting for a client facing Linux Project Engineer with high traffic website implementation experience to join their team.

The successful candidate will work with project and client managers to evaluate and determine requirements. You will have responsibility for delivering high quality technical solutions to business requirements. 

The successful candidate will have 5+ years experience with enterprise level high availability Linux systems administration as well as a broad understanding of enterprise infrastructures and application architectures.

In addition you will possess the following skills and experience:-

• At least one type of Java application environment (such as Websphere, Weblogic, Jetty, Tomcat).
• Standard internet protocols, tools and technologies, specifically around HTTP (such as nginx, Apache etc).
• CDN Deployments.
• Cloud infrastructure technologies (preferably AWS).
• System automation and configuration management tools (combined with languages such as Python, Bash etc).
• Load balancing and caching technologies (such as Amazon ELBs, Varnish, haproxy etc).
• The ability to manage and respond to a dynamic work flow and respond to high pressure situations.

It would be highly advantageous to have experience in any of the following:

• Transitioning projects into managed service support
• Ability to combine technical awareness with commercial understanding and context
• Documentation and handover to supporting teams
• Service management framework (such as ITIL or similar).
