PHP Developer - NA01058
Our client is a market leader within the Education sector boasting web based software at the cutting edge of technology. They are now seeking an experienced PHP Developer to work on a unique, large scale PHP system, as well as a number of interesting development projects including involvement in leading these developments.
You will contribute to the evolution and improvement of the existing PHP and Javascript frameworks and the specification of user focused products and features throughout the development cycle.
As the successful PHP Developer you will be responsible for developing the following:-
• Quality code, on time and to specification.
• Compatible and exciting user interface functionality using javascript and HTML (with an indepth knowledge of jQuery and experience with other libraries).
• Robust and reusable business logic for the applications.
You will have a wide range of development experience, a comprehensive understanding of software design concepts, and highly motivated to produce user focused software.
The ideal candidate you will possess 3+ years experience of the following technologies:-
• PHP / MySQL
• Javascript
• CSS (preferably including CSS3)
• HTML (preferably including HTML5)
In addition you will have proficiency with jQuery and an interest in Usability & Accessibility and the ability to understand how their markup impacts on these issues.
It would be highly advantageous to have experience in any of the following:-
• Large scale applications.
• Internationalization of existing software.
• Successfully porting legacy code to a more modern architecture.
• PostgreSQL.
